HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin – human chorionic gonadotropin) is a hormone found in the female body during early pregnancy (occurs in the placenta). These drugs are approved by the FDA (Federal Drug Administration) for the treatment of undescended testicles in young boys, hypogonadism (underproduction of GnRH – gonadotropin) and as a fertility drug used to help induce ovulation in women . When this compound was prepared as a medical item, the hormone was human origin. Because often there is fear in terms of products of biological origin, there is little research with regard to pathogen or sterility problems with HCG. The problems seen with growth hormone (HGH) of human origin will not be repeated with HCG as this compound is obtained in a very different way.
